Miskin Manor Wedding Photos

I just love shooting weddings at the Miskin Manor Hotel in South Wales. For me this venue has everything that a Cardiff photographer could possibly want.

Built in 1864, the building is rich in it's history. After being devastated by fire in 1923, it was then used as a hospital, and then recently developed into a substantial hotel with separate gym and spa facilities. This makes the venue a top choice, or at the very least an aspirational choice for many brides who are planning their big day.

As mentioned, the venue has everything. It has wonderful woodland surrounding, expertly kept award winning gardens and stunning external and internal architecture. Truly a wedding venue for all weathers and seasons, I know I can make great images inside and out.

Jenna & Carwyn pictured here were a wonderful couple, and they had just finished their after-ceremony drinks. The weather was looking to turn on us at any minute, and I wanted to capture the couple amongst the flowers down by the bridge. As it was overcast, I used some over hanging trees to create the tunnel light which lights Jenna's face wonderfully.

I am very happy with this image, and it has become a huge part of my current marketing, featured here on this website, on my Facebook page, and also on my window display at the Mark Nicholls Photography Studio in Newbridge South Wales.
