South Wales Wedding Photography | Cardiff Bridal Shoot
This image was taken a few years ago now, but it still remains one of my favourite.
The dress was from All About Eve Bridal in Newport, and the image was taken at Cyfarthfa Castle in Merthyr Tydfil.
When I took this image, I was exposing for the light coming in through the window to create a silhouette effect, though still retaining some detail in the subject. The sun shone through the window and spilled over the statues in the room which you will see on the far right of the image. What I love about Cardiff is that they have so many different places to create some truly amazing wedding photographs.
Whilst this image was taken in Merthyr, it could be made anywhere with beautiful, grand windows.
I've said this many a time now, but my style is one that is quite unique, in that I uses lenses and camera equipment that make my images jump right off the page.
I've always been inspired by films as opposed to other photographers when discovering how I photograph my subjects.
I have a style that can best be described as natural, artistic, quite unique and original.
What I love about weddings is no two are ever the same, I could photograph in the same place repeatedly, but the moments are and individual as the clients themselves, thus I'd never recommend choosing a photographer because they have photographed at your venue before - that means very little.
What matters is that you 'gel' with your photographer, that you like their style, you like THEM, they're at a price point that you're comfortable with, and that they offer an excellent service.
Location: Cardiff, South Wales.
